Meet Your Hosts

Kelly & Rachel share a deep love for France—and especially for the places that feel a little more personal, a little less discovered, and a lot more authentic. What began as a shared love of France quickly grew into a friendship and natural collaboration.

Rachel has made Provence part of her own life, with a home in Vaison-la-Romaine and years spent discovering the people, places, and experiences that make the region so special. She's our local expert, bringing an insider's perspective to the trip and sharing the Provence she knows and loves.

Together, we're bringing our different perspectives to create an experience centered around beautiful places, wonderful food, genuine connection, and the feeling of being welcomed into a place rather than simply passing through it.

  • MORNING · LAVENDER WORKSHOP
    Journey into the heart of the Alpilles, where you'll harvest your own lavender before learning the centuries-old art of weaving a traditional fuseau de lavande (lavender wand) with a passionate local artisan.

    MIDDAY · LES BAUX-DE-PROVENCE
    Continue to the breathtaking hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Wander its medieval streets, browse local boutiques, and enjoy lunch at your leisure.

    LATE AFTERNOON · CARRIÈRES DES LUMIÈRES
    Step inside a former limestone quarry for an extraordinary immersive light and sound exhibition—one of France's most captivating art experiences.

    EVENING · DINNER IN VAISON
    Return to Vaison-la-Romaine to relax before gathering for dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants.

    Afterward, we'll continue to the breathtaking hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence, where you'll have free time to wander its medieval streets, browse local boutiques, and enjoy lunch at your leisure.

    In the afternoon, we'll visit the extraordinary Carrières des Lumières, where an immersive light and sound exhibition transforms a former limestone quarry into one of France's most captivating art experiences.

    We'll return to Vaison-la-Romaine to relax before gathering later that evening for dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants.

  • MORNING · CRESTET & SÉGURET
    Discover two of the most beautiful villages in the Vaucluse, wandering the winding cobblestone streets of Crestet and Séguret, one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. Admire centuries-old stone homes and soak in the timeless charm of Provençal village life.

    MIDDAY · LUNCH IN SÉGURET
    Gather for a leisurely group lunch in Séguret before returning to Vaison-la-Romaine for a relaxing afternoon and some well-earned downtime.

    EVENING · WINE & MUSIC IN GIGONDAS
    As evening approaches, head to the renowned wine village of Gigondas for an unforgettable experience. Enjoy exceptional local wines and live music within what is believed to be the oldest Roman wine vats in France.

    We'll gather for a leisurely group lunch in Séguret before returning to Vaison-la-Romaine for a relaxing afternoon and some well-earned downtime.

    As evening approaches, we'll head to the renowned wine village of Gigondas for a truly unforgettable experience. Set within what is believed to be the oldest Roman wine vats in France, you'll enjoy an evening of exceptional local wines paired with live music in one of Provence's most unique historic settings.

    Begin with a guided cheese tasting led by a local fromager, discovering the flavors, traditions, and techniques behind some of France's most beloved cheeses.

    AFTERNOON · WINE BLENDING WORKSHOP
    Visit a beautiful Provençal wine estate for an immersive food and wine pairing experience. Learn how different flavors complement one another before creating your own custom wine blend, guided by the estate's experts and tailored to your palate.

    EVENING · FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE
    Celebrate Fête de la Musique, France's beloved annual festival of music. After dinner in a nearby Provençal village, experience the streets coming alive with free concerts, local musicians, and performances alongside the locals.

    Next, we'll visit a beautiful local wine estate for an immersive experience in the world of Provençal wine. During a hands-on food and wine pairing workshop, you'll learn how different flavors complement one another before discovering the art of blending your own wine. Guided by the estate's experts, you'll create a custom blend tailored to your own palate while gaining a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every bottle.

    This evening also marks Fête de la Musique, France's annual celebration of music held on the summer solstice. Throughout the country, villages and cities come alive with free concerts, local musicians, and lively performances that fill the streets with music well into the night. Following our group dinner in a nearby Provençal village, you'll have the opportunity to experience this beloved French tradition alongside the locals.

  • MORNING · VAISON MARKET
    Experience one of Provence's most beloved traditions: market day in Vaison-la-Romaine. Accompanied by a local guide, stroll through the vibrant weekly market, meeting vendors and selecting fresh, seasonal ingredients for our Provençal lunch.

    AFTERNOON · COOKING CLASS
    Half of the group will join a local chef for a hands-on cooking class, preparing a seasonal three-course Provençal meal with ingredients gathered at the market. Afterward, sit down to enjoy your creation with thoughtfully paired local wines while discovering the stories and techniques behind the region's cuisine.

    AFTERNOON · EXPLORE VAISON
    Guests not participating in the cooking class will enjoy lunch together in the heart of Vaison-la-Romaine, followed by an afternoon to explore at their own pace—browse charming boutiques, relax at a café, or join an optional watercolor workshop with a local artisan.

    This afternoon, half of the group will join a local chef for a hands-on cooking class, learning to prepare a seasonal three-course Provençal meal using the ingredients gathered from the market. Following the class, you'll sit down to enjoy the lunch you've created, accompanied by thoughtfully paired local wines, while discovering the stories and techniques behind the region's cuisine.

    Guests not participating in the cooking class will enjoy lunch together in the heart of Vaison-la-Romaine before spending the afternoon exploring the town at their own pace, browsing its charming boutiques, relaxing at a café, or joining an optional watercolor workshop led by a local artisan.

    Begin in the charming town of Nyons, exploring one of Provence's beloved weekly markets. Half of the group will visit a local nose—a professional perfumer trained in the art of fragrance—for a hands-on workshop. Discover fragrance families and blending techniques before creating your own signature scent to take home. Meanwhile, the other half will have time to explore the lively market before the groups switch, ensuring everyone enjoys both experiences.

    AFTERNOON · RELAX & REFRESH
    Return to Vaison-la-Romaine for some time to relax and freshen up before our final evening together.

    EVENING · FAREWELL DINNER IN VACQUEYRAS
    Gather among the vineyards of Vacqueyras for a memorable farewell celebration. Enjoy a guided wine tasting followed by an elegant five-course dinner paired with local wines as we celebrate one final evening together in Provence.

    Guests will be transferred to the Avignon TGV station for their journey home. We hope you leave Provence with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the people, traditions, and beauty that make this region so special.

Meet the Artisans

    ELSA LENTHAL

    Lavender Artisan + Owner of Elsa Lenthal Lavandes

    Raised among the lavender fields and olive groves of Les Baux-de-Provence, Elsa learned the traditional art of making lavender wands from her mother and grandmother at ten years old. What began as a childhood tradition grew into a lifelong passion for craftsmanship, taking her from the markets of Provence to artisan projects in Cambodia and the Philippines. She returned to Provence in 2015 and today grows lavender at the foot of the Château des Baux, preserving and sharing the Provençal tradition that first captured her heart as a child.

    ROMAIN DUMOND

    Cheesemonger and Cheese Affineur, Owner of Lou Canesteou

    Born in Provence, Romain spent several years abroad, including nine years running a cheese shop in Berlin. In 2020, he returned to Vaison-la-Romaine to take over Lou Canesteou, the very shop where he had first trained as an intern in 2011. Today, Romain works closely with cheeses from local producers, carefully aging and maturing them in the shop’s two cellars to develop their texture, character, and flavor.

    Chef + Owner of Plate Full of Dreams


    Suzanne has spent a lifetime exploring the world through food. From the Greek Islands and Scotland to her home in Provence, she has developed a cooking style rooted in fresh, seasonal ingredients, approachable cooking, and the joy of sharing a meal. Her classes are warm, hands-on, and designed to inspire you long after you return home.

    JAMES BARRUOL

    Export Manager of Château de Saint Cosme

    After years abroad in England and Spain as an English teacher, James began a new chapter in wine, studying Viticulture and Oenology in Beaune, Burgundy. His experience took him to estates in the UK, Bordeaux, and Australia before joining Château de Saint Cosme in Gigondas in 2025. Today, he works throughout the cellar and estate, with a growing focus on the vineyards that first drew him to winemaking.

    Perfumer + Founder of LVEN

    Rachel Myers Moore is a perfumer whose craft is rooted in memory, place, and the natural world. Inspired by the landscapes of the Drôme Provençale and her family's home in Nyons, she creates fragrances that capture the scents of Provence, from sun-warmed stone and wild thyme to dried lavender and olive groves. Through her workshops, she invites visitors to discover how fragrance can preserve a place long after they've left it.

    HENRI BUNGENER

    Artisan Winemaker, Clos de Caveau

    Born to French-Swiss parents who had travelled the world, Henri spent many years in London practising as a psychoanalyst before taking over the management of his family’s organic vineyard in 1994. Passionate about the unique terroirs of the Clos de Caveau, Henri has spent the following decades studying the soils of the Clos  to craft terroir-driven wines that truly express this remarkable place.

    Botanical Watercolor Artist

    From painting on porcelain in Paris to capturing the beauty of Provence's wildflowers on paper, Stéphanie Henao has spent her life exploring botanical art. Inspired by the region's abundant flora, her delicate watercolor paintings celebrate the natural world with remarkable elegance. Today, she shares her passion through workshops in French, English, and Spanish, inviting visitors to experience Provence through the eyes of an artist.
