I came to Provence
as a traveler.
Somewhere along the way,
it became home.
HOW IT STARTED
It began with a trip to Provence.
Then we kept coming back.
What started as a vacation slowly became something much bigger. Andy and I kept finding reasons to return to Provence, drawn back by the villages, the markets and the everyday rhythm of life here.
Eventually, visiting wasn't enough. In 2021, we bought a little house in Vaison-la-Romaine and began splitting our time between France and the United States.
Living here changed the way I experienced Provence. I stopped simply looking for places to visit and started getting to know the people behind them: the cheesemonger at the market, the winemakers, cooks, artists and small business owners who have slowly become part of my life here.
THE PROVENCE I LOVE
The places I return to again and again.
The Provence I love most isn't always the Provence you'll find on a list of must-see sights. It's the market vendor who knows exactly which melon will be ready for dinner, the village fountain you pass every morning, the tiny restaurant with a handwritten menu and the places you stumble upon simply because you took the long way home. After years of exploring this region, those are the moments I find myself seeking out again and again.
They're also the ones I love sharing. Whether I'm writing a guide, planning an itinerary or showing someone around Provence myself, my goal is always the same: to help you experience a little more of the Provence I've been lucky enough to get to know.
