Meet Rachel

Woman with brown hair wearing sunglasses, a white eyelet top, and a navy skirt standing on a busy city street with market stalls and other people in the background.

Somewhere along the way, Provence became home.

I first came to Provence as a traveler, doing what most of us do: trying to see as much as possible before it was time to go home. But after years of returning, Andy and I eventually bought a little place of our own in Vaison-la-Romaine, and the way I experienced Provence completely changed.

Suddenly, there was no rush. I could spend Tuesday mornings at the market, drive to a village simply because I’d never taken that road before, and return to the same cafés, shops and restaurants often enough that people began to know my name.

That slower way of discovering Provence is really what When in Provence is about. I share the places I genuinely love, from villages worth making a detour for to the artisans, markets and experiences I find along the way, so you can experience a little more of the Provence I’ve been lucky enough to call home.
